Road Trip: Cooper U’s Interaction Design Training Heads East!

In service of spreading design awareness and education, Cooper U is bringing its foundational training in Interaction Design to Philadelphia on December 3-6 to cap off a great 2013. Throughout the year we’ve received many requests from our design peers to bring our training east, so when we had the opportunity to add another class to the schedule, we thought Philadelphia would be the perfect location.

What’s Inside Cooper’s Interaction Design Training?

This course is designed to give you the fundamentals of interaction design. With step-by-step guidance from industry experts, you’ll build your toolkit with skills like:

  • Conducting user research with powerful ethnographic techniques
  • Translating observations into goals, personas, and scenarios
  • Developing and prioritizing requirements based on user and business goals
  • Quickly turning requirements into a concrete product concept

In this four-day training, product managers, developers, usability professionals, marketers, and design practitioners will learn methods and techniques to design products and services that delight users. Participants learn through hands-on experience by working on an example product and collaborating on a new team. See what some Interaction Design Alumni say about the training here.

Why Philadelphia?

Philadelphia is the nation’s fifth-largest city filled with history and vibrancy where both art and design are lush and accessible, woven into the fabric of everyday life. Philadelphia is also the perfect midpoint between New York City and DC, and its international airports make it easily accessible to all the East Coast and beyond.

Where is the training hosted?

We’re partnering with the University of Arts to host this class in an environment that supports artistic achievement and education. The University of the Arts’ campus is located in Center City (downtown) just minutes away from thriving cultural environments and historical firsts. It is one of the few universities solely dedicated the arts and design, and serves as a true catalyst from creativity and collaboration.

You can check out the surrounding area here.

How do I get there?

The training is located in the Terra Board Room, 211 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA and is accessible by plane, train, or car.
